ReplyDeleteWe also have a festival dedicated to the long life of our husbands, and even unmarried girls can celebrate it to get good, loving husbands, but there is no fasting for it in our community.

In the US it must be celebrated with lot of fanfare, like other festivals, so, I thought you might also enjoy celebrating it.
I have seen filmi heroines celebrating in films and some Punjabi friends too. They look so beautiful dressed in red at that time.
