reflection...

..kids are reflection of your personality ..good bad or ugly ..they show their behavior and upbringing when in public..I sometimes notice moms are busy talking or having couple of drinks without noticing the kid in-front of you is seeing all this when you take a tequila shots or hard drink... what do your kids think?

recently I noticed a women in late forties wearing a small  skirt and tube top at barbeque party ..the older son is like twenty three year old sitting in the same party ... I don't blame mom here neither the kid at one point I think we should wear something agreeable with age no matter even if you carry body  like mallika sherawat (indian dancer) ... 

on other side I noticed a teenagers mom wearing a jump suit where daughter is seventeen year old (she should be wearing jumpsuit) but wearing a decent skirt with top.. ..

then the story after that...in late night parties...

where dirty dancing starts with sexiest moves and .. hot songs ..wht culture is this?

wht are your kids learning... 

I was once at this kind of party when ..I had some nausea due to loud music so went outside to get some fresh air..

I noticed teenagers smooching outside in dark... felt so sick came inside but inside the culture was same ..dirty dancing with vulgar poses ..

I thought may be I am not meant to be here or this is  not what my parents taught me ...that was the last day in that place... 

what we do n behave actually teaches our kids ... we don't need to clarify or repent later.. .

liberal outlook doesn't mean ..wearing less clothes ... smooching in public or dancing with some other partner .. 

its Cheap!

teenage pregnancy or ..drugs or even getting into bad company is result of this ...!

if this women is intelligent , millionaire and very clear heart-ed does it matter how she looks?

the*Winner.

..life always has ups and downs ..A women goes through many things in life ... now you must be thinking why women ? not men...

the reason I said women cuz she is the one who leaves her family and comes to a new family and house where she has to prove her ability and always at giving end ,,mom ,daughter ,sister or wife.

some girls are very strong and come out as winners against odds .. they have lot of patience ... 

they are determined and they keep trying ..keeping a low profile focused on their work jus keeping all negative thoughts at bay.

I met her in one wedding ..she is an top executive in a company .. I had heard about her before but dint knew until I met her.

...standing quietly in a business suit ..( I think she jus arrived from airport)..I said "hi" to her ...

she is my aunts friend .. they studied together in india ..then got married and came to US... she had masters degree in english...back home...

when she came to US it was a whole lot new atmosphere ..and then living with in-laws who were not very humble and always expected one or the other thing from her .. cooking ,cleaning  and then keeping the family happy...proving to be a good daughter -in law...

I came to know they gave her hard time at home ... and sometimes situations are not in favor too..

Then she tried to get an entry level job in one of the IT firms ... it was to make an extra income and get a break from home.. fortunately the family agreed...

She was very new ,hard to get an American accent .. so it took her some time to adjust on this temporary position( the lady had gone on maternity leave) she was on customer support..

... in few months she picked the accent and it worked really well... they moved her to another group ..and gave her some training in IT ...improving her skills... 

She showed some good results .. always quite and focused on work ..at home she took care of everything ..cooking in the morning ..goin to work and helping everyone ... after a year or so the company  told her to start with college some courses to get a better position in the management ... they would help her in college tuitions  and all.. 

She started with college ,working part-time  and then living up-to everybody expectation at home...so life became even tougher but this thought of making big was her motivation in life and it would be better with little more income plus it gave her some identity and some importance at work.

she finished her college and she was in management ..after almost four to five yrs of her work. ..she was at managerial position ..But there is one thing about this women I would say here perseverance and her dignity she never left ... she was handling major programmes now,

... There were few courses she did again some kind of programming she learned .. a constant urge to upgrade her knowledge and skills ..But now she had a strong footage in that company ... in few yrs she was at directorial position ... 

At home things took a turn ..mom -in law was surprised by her confidence and hubby who was doin some business in real-estate took advantage of her contacts and made business flourish..

she was now very successful  in her career ... Then came a major turning point when another  company offered her a president position ..by now she was so well versed had her hands on major decisions so she made a counter offer of some percentage of her shares in the company ..which they agreed and now in California she is at one of the highest positions ... in the company

today her kids are on a verge of getting married ... a daughter as lawyer is hired by her own company and son as engineer is also working there...

in -laws cant stop praising her ( same egative people)..she settled all her relatives in India and abroad ..helped everyone financially ..even friends ... 

today when I see her I can't imagine this was a simple girl from a small city made it so big and such a pride for the family ...

do we still wish we had sons? 

girls are no less jus need an opportunity ..I am sharing with you all this because those who are disheartened please take a break and go to work may be an opportunity is waiting for you.

psychology .

..its sometimes hard to understand psychology of people who are driving...
......

I usually ignore fools on my way as its hard to make a fool understand cuz he/she will take all your energy and you are left with nothing but frustration.. yes it irritates you ..you all will agree with this as running short of time and  a person ahead  showing tantrums for no reason...

I came across this couple of times... last week running late to pick my kid from school where dismissal is at 3 pm  and parents are supposed to be there in half an hour  ..after that child is handed over to principal and then in police custody ..if no one is seen ,,,which is a big trouble .. a legal hassle !!

so the clock ticking away ..jus fifteen minutes left ...I drove but car ahead of me was at a speed of 35 mph where limit is 45mph ...getting frustrated I tried to change the lane but this  guy in red car ... he drove so fast looking at me changing the lane to drive ahead of him he was now at speed of 60mph ..then he showed me a finger ...I ..muttered under my breath "ASSHOLE "

I turned to yellow lane to take a left turn he was next to me ..I jus ignored and looked on the opposite direction..he honked ...I just made a left turn and drove..

why would anyone get offended if other person changes a lane to go ahead ..as he/she is running short of time..you can always enjoy your ride ..talking to your friends or listening songs ..but let others go and these lanes are meant to changed if one is goin slow ...why get offended?

... I jus cant understand the ego ,,, then they say women don't know to drive or park ...

I mean why the hell mess with others ..you can have your joy ride ...

"And what am I going to do when I want to talk to you?"

God said, "Your angel will place your hands together and will teach you how to pray."

"Who will protect me?"

God said, "Your angel will defend you even if it means risking it's life."

"But I will always be sad because I will not see you anymore."

God said, "Your angel will always talk to you about Me and will teach you the way to come back to Me, even though I will always be next to you."

At that moment there was much peace in Heaven, but voices from Earth could be heard and the child hurriedly asked, "God, if I am to leave now, please tell me my angel's name."

"You will simply call her, 'Mom.'"

easter eggs.

 sorry to all my friends for taking a break that long ...for those whom I need to catch up with their recent posts I promise  you will see me very soon ..smiling and commenting on each of them ...please bear with those smiles as it always when you are little guilty you smile more to be SURE ..
  (this post was written two weeks back but dint get time to publish..)
... Its been long ..work n home kept me busy ..sometimes its better to get break from blogging I guess ..there is more stuff to write and discuss then. sometime back we  had Easter holidays..kids were at home for a week..lot of noise and friends around.

my younger son who's five years old was determined to go for Easter hunt next morning ...so my husband got some (toy)eggs and kept them in lawn for kids to hunt and have some fun ..this is the first time we did probably as the kids in school discuss among themselves,,,so jus for the sake of  fun we did...

two eggs among them were different ..they were supposed to be kept in water for hatching ..it would be eight hours for dinosaurs to come out and see them grow...

this was something new to me ...so  my very intelligent hubby ;p took  glass kettle filled with water and he placed it on the kitchen counter for everyone to see the hatching.

..I was little surprised when I got up next morning..little dinosaurs showing up from the eggs,,, phew,, shuck..

can't see those ..I took the kettle and kept it on the side table in the family room ..but soon it came back to kitchen.

but its kinda amazing thing.. to make toys looks real...

we took them out next day from the kettle..boys were very happy ..Cody (orange) Sparky (green) names given to them  ..they were blessed ones to come out of those huge eggs... ..

I touched and felt like something slippery and wet ..

but what is this ...with time they are too small ..all water evaporated from giant size they are miniatures now...

 

 ... sometimes its fun to be a kid again :)

love or pretense?

talking of India and our own Indians I generally fail to understand when specially people who speak so loud and clear about their country and love for their motherland  never miss an opportunity to show their shopping or stuff from overseas..their brand name purses, shoes ,nail polish and even their phirangi friends....

what should I call them ?? suggest me...

I think when you are so much of  Indian and in love with country please help to endorse our own brands or posing pictures in our own dresses and show  our own rich culture and heritage ..we are no less then others.. 

why copy the west and keep pointing others(NRI's) that they have no love for country.,,,

if we are in our own country and endorsing the western brands its a shame ..why?? what kind of love is this for motherland...

why show -off... please people be yourself otherwise don't show this fake love for your motherland...

there are also those people who talk jus for India..good bad or ugly but a true picture ..never pretended or shown a rosy picture unlike these fake people ..I respect them ...

Respect only those people and opinions who have genuine love for country not to make money through blogs or endorsements .... specially endorsing the western brands and talking all crap about people and Indians living abroad...
