memories!

its one of my fav songs again........some sweet memories from the past....we are at the end of the week..its friday...what a beautiful song...sung by Indian legend Mohammed Rafi...and Dev Anand as Superstar of yesteryear.

it says..(this guy is an architect engineer.. he makes houses...and sings)

(The girl says)    its not easy to make a house ,and spread your world is not an easy thing.

(the boy says)   if you love somebody nothing is hard..and all troubles are off the shore ,I will give up my life for you!

(The boys says)..if you love somebody...river on fire can be converted to flowers... and every other trouble can be put to rest...I will decorate stars in-front of your house!

there are six people in a small barn house...its a stormy day..the whether forecast says thunderstorm and lighting ..the people who are stuck in the barn house are villagers who came on farms to work,but  among them is an old lady with his grandson, "Dave " who is supposed to be jinx  in the  village...his parents died when he was born.. it was a car crash,his grandma was under lot of debts ever since he was born...the village people said "if Dave plays with some kid in the village that child is sure to fall sick ,if Dave gets a ride in the car its bound to have a car crash...they avoided him!made fun of his grand ma whom he loved a lot,they were ill treated Dave was more often called."Jinky"
Due to thunderstorm and lighting ,everyone was scared.... 
they wanted to throw a four year old Dave out of the barn house ...so that they are saved and lighting would go out of their way ...they pushed  Dave out!! ..Grand ma Cried, and came out to save Dave...it was raining...one of the guys looking at the old lady also came out to bring her back ,looking at them the other three also came out to take the old lady back to barn and leave  Dave,But God had something in mind that day...all  six were saved and Lighting..fell on the vacant barn ..which was turned to ashes in the spur of the moment !!
Everyone was Saved due to Dave! 


(I saw this short story on Tv years  back as a kid.....which said "Nobody is Jinx" .....its just the correlation of instances that make people think or relate to take out their personal grudges!)

do you resemble anyone other then your family members? usually we hear she resembles this bollywood star or Hollywood star...and its taken as compliment...But when I saw Sonakshi Sinha..daughter of Indian bollywood star Shatrughan Sinha...it was long back in one of the Indian magazines, before Dabaang movie was released,I was surprised...Oh My God!! I said she resembles ..Reena Roy ..one of the bollywood actresses of yesteryear and coincidentally this lady Reena Roy was shatrughan sinha's Girl friend at one time ..it was a very close relationship I still remember it..
...when this Girl Sonakshi Sinha came in Movie Dabaang..I was amazed to see..how well the face cut and features are..which goes with Reena roy very well!
I told my husband who was listening to my bollywood gossip...he usually calls me encyclopedia of bollywood :) but I don't mind since my knowledge is vast and better then him :Din terms of bollywood...isnt it amazing?I asked my hubby...he smiled...".may be he was always thinking about her when his wife was expecting this baby..."
I said "that's bad then" the proof is in-front of India.....
this shows his love and loyalty towards his wife...

Age appropriate dressing!!

 

we were at party ..on Saturday,usually all parties or gatherings are on weekend due to our busy working schedules..so we happened to meet some friends, some relatives and some extended families..
..this was a party at banquet hall ..with a good gathering...and the dress code was mentioned in the invitation card......Men in suit and women in sarees..well if you dont have a saree buy one or just stay away..it was very clear and I think there is nothing wrong in that,its a respect to the host.
 In that party I noticed,.. people don't know to wear age appropriate clothes..Like this lady in her fifties or may be little more..was wearing a Saree with huge floral print ,very bold ..(I thought who is this phoolwati?(flower girl))with big chunky jewelery ..and a big flower in her hair(fake one)..Hilarious!! my hubby looked at me as I giggled..he said"everyone has their own choice"...true..I agree, but still I think with age comes grace and with Grey hair such bold makeup and jewelery ..its like a laughing stock!
then came this guy...probably the only one...wearing a coat with jeans in formal party... the color of the coat was Maroon...looked like he had borrowed ... to attend this party....living in US..cant afford a Coat?..we have sales all around year,every store has formal coats or suits ..its matter of spending..
A women in early forties  dressing up like a  twenty  year old girl...I mean.. what the Heck!!does it look good..trying to be a chic...your age shows up from your face ,ever if you have those streaks of highlights!
then there are girls in their early thirties dressed up like "this is the last day to dress up,you never know about tomorrow"they will wear whatever is available at home..all hair accessories.. lots of bangles ..chunky jewelery ..Oh my God.."jewelery shop"
now the teenagers...they will wear moms saree..its like wrapped around a stick ..and an ugly hair updo..bright eye make-up..whether it suits your skin or not...more like a witch ...my little one I was holding said"her eyes are like monster." I turned around before she could hear! ..seems like her mom was busy in her own hair accessories and other stuff.
I think dressing sense comes with environment and upbringing ..then with our close friends we try to improve and make choices ...its not just money that matters...I had seen in that same party...people who are jus average middle class and other side  rich people ..dressed very decently..there is no fixed criteria ..as to who will dress better regarding income,or religion, race or age..its very personal...and most of the time girls pick their way of dressing from their mom...
I think whether its a male or female..age appropriate dressing is must...it gives you a due respect and you create an example for others!

 Somebody had recently sent me an e-mail  of some pictures of india's ex-telecom minister rajas palatial house...

which could have cost ed the  national treasury up to 40 billion dollar....But seems like the corrupted Ex-minister wanted lot of money to build these palatial houses ....he is sent to tihar jail ...now he seems to be enjoying the luxuries behind the bars..

India's biggest ever corruption scam.Look at the pictures here ..its like straight out of a catalog...its surprising how  this guy had made money in millions and owned these kind of properties....

Police have since raided the homes of Raja, who denies any wrongdoing, and other senior telecom ministry officials and questioned them at length.hope..he never come out of that cell!

Pizza!

the most lovable food in every house hold...when there is no time to cook,or when your sick or there is no grocery at home ... its pizza day!

every nook and corner there is pizzeria...and all of them get business!one of my Egyptian friend introduced me to Mediterranean pizza..which has all kinds of cheese  (feta cheese) and veggies..Its different...but only if could digest so much cheese...its good!!otherwise chances of getting stomach upset...for sure!!

then comes My very very fav..pizza hut, king of pizza(my personal opinion) ..specially the deep dish ..I prefer veggies more then chicken ...but kidz ..they like pepperoni ..my personal fav is Hawaiian pizza..with pineapple and cheese..no beef..I don't eat one!

the second best is Jet pizza...specially the barbecue squares with chicken...(its like chat papdi of india)..(lol) which is sweet and spicy..its awesome....

then the third one is Domino's...which is kinda ok..only if its steaming hot..try with spinach and some veggies..its Awesome!!... for those who haven't tried their oven baked sandwiches...try it..its 

 

very very good..if you like chicken..its Italian sausage...but if you like veggie then its Mediterranean sandwich...they are jus sumptuous...try steaming hot and fresh!

then there is..Little Ceaser...for five bucks...its good but little dry!I haven't tried lately..as my past experience was not so great!

next is Hungry Howie..which is cheap..cheap...not so good!

Papa Romano...so on and so forth....many pizzeria...

The famous Chicago pizza....which is very different....the top layer has nothing but instead a stuffing made for pizza....its very tasty...try this weekend if you haven't ever tasted....(its like Indian stuffed parantha)too good!

California kitchen..pizza..which is little different in taste and more crispy...then other pizza;s....its nice and thin..good for waist and keeps calories down!(depends what you order)

Toronto has lots of pizza to offer..in Indian style...I was bowled over by the Indian variety...like ginger garlic with green chillies...and onions...

my cousin who lives in Winnipeg..Manitoba..says butter chicken pizza is also available...its hilarious...

the Italian style was converted to American to Mediterranean and now Indian...we are not far from that era when we will get....Chinese noodle pizza,sambhar and dosa pizza,saag pizza, and many more!

..men..

MEN...
its a very small word,darn difficult to understand ...what they usually say is actually not meant its exactly opposite of the statement to understand them....most of the men speak less ,unlike women ..but then its very hard to judge whats goin in their mind....
most of the men are very unorganized....like I tell my hubby to keep his stuff after shave inside the cabinet...so that the counter tops are clean...But it seems he never heard...one day I took everything and threw in the trash can...next day when I saw ..it was again taken out of trash can and kept on counter....and he never complained..as to why I threw in the trash...as a matter of fact it was"I am going to be like that"accept it!

...I looked out of the window ..and saw our neighbor...in the kitchen,his wife was with a laptop on the dining table...he gave her a cup of tea with some snacks and then went out with a lawn mower at the back yard....then after he was done mowing..he took a bowl of marinated chicken and on patio he barbecued and then both of them were enjoying dinner... I was doin exactly what that guy was doin..I told my husband see..how he helps his wife...my husband who was also watching this sitting on table....said("salaa vehla")he is idle..got up and pulled the curtains ...saying" I need some privacy"..and peeping is considered as bad!

they dont like shopping and usually avoid goin to malls and stores..I said "look there is sale" .."president day sale"he said...every thing is available on line at half price let me know if anything special you need...I said nothing!hell with this websites!

....they will keep listening to you..But actually they are not listening ....as I told story one of my friend who is going to get married ..within fifteen days...all the shopping and events goin on at her place.."he said ok so how was the marriage ..she is happy?..I was ok....then to correct himself he said...actually I meant to say "she will be happy after marriage God Bless her"

they are glued to TV or computer all the time... as my voice goes up ..he will raise the volume of the Tv..and say...why do you shout? I say you dont listen....see the reason I have  to raise volume...he will smile when he says this!!
.....most of these creatures ...called men are very lovable in-spite of  the mis-demeanor...wives or gfs still love them ignoring flaws..and I guess that's how we learn to accept each other without putting conditions
