Michigan Fall

.. My obsession for nature goes beyond limits when I see fall .. my fall for fall season cannot be explained in words. It's hard to capture every detail .. every morning when I take Phantom out for a walk, I thank my almighty for this lovely place and nature and above all these eyes given to appreciate color and beauty which is priceless.
The color of every leaf is like bright red, orange, Yello or peach. Nature is well blended in fall colors with a hint of green for those trees who didn't taste the sun and the heat yet.
More then words my pics say all ;-)

honesty is not always the best policy

..Honesty does not always help.. people who are honest like me have to bear a lot.. you must be thinking why? there are many a times when I'm totally shattered after an honest opinion.... telling people if they are rude..or lying or show them proven facts or even to the extent that I found them cheating with partners. 
I don't know how far we go with this honesty ..but somewhere inside me I feel if I'm not honest to myself I'm cheating myself .. a constant dilemma so whatever the consequences might be , be honest in life and lead a care free life.. 
  I have seen people changing their behaviors , attitudes and lifestyle with money, even with your own relatives .. seeing them grow is good but seeing their attitudes change for no apparent reason is something very obnoxious ... and socially abusive is something hard to understand.. generally I have seen everything gets evvolved left are memories and remnants .. some come out of those worst situations others go deep .. 
  The price I paid is hard to put on words here .. people think its better to stay away from her "ME"as she will rip my ass if she came to know about the truth or the real fact .. and to me ,its like ..who the hell wants to be in that envoirnment  I try to mingle with people ...where you get positive vibes.
.. there might be times when not many people are around you ..but I always think end of the day every one has to show their face to God .. and lying getting into harmful activities is no good.. its ok not to have many friends but few good ones 
  Honesty ,loyalty ,love , kindness and above all gratitude is something we all have in our personalities some use those as qualities others don't .. at times they try to sabotage others image ...
good bad or ugly..nothing changes if its truth .. sooner or later everything shows up crystal clear.
truth is pure .. nothing can change ...it will always remain and exist .. 
people respect those who speak TRUTH .

..health is wealth ....

..my life with gym and workouts have given me an active life style ..but taken an xtra time is devoted to GYM
Health have always been a top priority ..I have been exercising for years now but not strictly following the gym routine but now ..an hour every day .. Burst training to weights .. toning myself ..
Motivation is a factor .. where do we get the drive to go for those strnenous exercises ?
..one cannot be motivated  unless  he or she is in the show business .. my case I'm associated with fashion industry but thats not the drive... my thing was blood work or physical exam ..shows your well being and what needs to be improved... in my case where my levels were going on higher side .. I thought not only to get rid of extra five pounds but keep myself away from any pills for future..trust me its very hard to get into form and loose like twenty pounds ..cut down on carbs and no sugar .. wheat is considered culprit to increase weight and form wheat belly ..
I took time to go through health journals and following healthy diet .. which was salad a day one big meal of salad with proteins ..
switching to complex carbs and bye bye to wheat ... no sugar (  never had sugar craving) switch to black coffee or tea .. so then what was a sub to wheat?
I switched to a mix of bajra, jowar, besan and soya .. ate one "Roti"..which is very filling ..
breakfast no bread bagels or waffles .. sub was again pancakes made with gram flour and fresh yogurt ..
and egg white..
dinner I usually eat lot of salad before meal and then indulge to home made lentil or veggie .. or baked chicken
... The whole thing takes time to adjust for body .. but not only that it gives you different prospective ..we as punjabis have food culture at home .. home made .. and one cannot ignore or get away with a result you have to indulge .. so basically you have to make your own choice .. best for weight and health ...
Vacations are another part where you have to see whats available ..a healthy option apart from salads ..well there is baked chicken or fish with salad.. rest all is very high carb food..
its annoying at times ..why am I doing that?? am I suffering from some disease ??No..its to avoid any disease .. .. plus its a healthy choice... for how long?
well .. I do take a slice of bread at times .. if ever I really want not depriving myself
.. the bottom line is .. life does not give you everything a little sacrifice for well being is worth million dollars later spending in clinics or health center.
..Yes people do ask me how did you do it? my tips below

TIPS
SWITCH TO COMPLEX CARBS
no wheat or white stuff ...
more of bran ,salad , Indian food has variety of flour
I use mix of jowar , Bajra , besan I m a non-vegetarian so I have cut down on soya.. to make my dough ..

* NO SUGAR FOR LIFE
no sugar in any drinks , substitute with stevia initially and then no sugar at all
cravings?
take a very small bite ..if you have
if you stop taking sugar .. its like you never go back .. body rejects

* EXERCISE
Gym 50 mins four days a week ..
if you skip gym then walk for 50 mins
Burst training ..running on tread mill for a 2 minutes at high speed as per your capacity and take a break for 30 seconds ..keeping an eye on the heart rate
Weight training toning up.
stretches and bench exercises for flexibility
SALADS
*A big portion of salad once a day..intially to loose weight accompanied any baked chicken or fish ..or stir fried veggies
*WATER
lots of water .. keep it on the night stand..
SLEEP
* lots of good sleep at night
BALANCE YOUR MEALS
*if one meal is heavy or includes unwanted stuff .. balance other meal with veggies or salads
or baked dishes ..avoid cream based stuff..
..it takes 7to 8 months to reduce 20 pounds ..
and maintaining its like a lifestyle forever

Sometimes I think I get to meet all kinds of people...some are really hard to believe.... they have different opinion  when we talk about the modern world ..less work , simplify life ..add meaning to your living..
This American women I met at work shared her personal stuff  and I was astonished ..
A Super mom I would say .. mother to 11 kids :)
I'm like really ?? she was like "I love my house n my kids" ..youngest being nine months and oldest 18 yrs ..
I said you are a super mom .. she was like ,No my mom is a super mom we are 22 siblings...
I was like Wow !!what an effort ;-) she was like..my mom is fit, drives  back and fourth says,you should be fit and active , look at me I raised 22 kids and still going strong and very

happy to visit each one of you.
& you lazy bones ..jus 11 kids and drained out .. I'm like really? I have two and my hands are full. 
she like really just two?
yep ..I'm I not super women ;-) 

me :how do you manage your earnings with 11 kids?
she :its not hard God has made way and food for everybody .. Church helps a lot and most of our stuff even groceries are taken care .. older kids take care of younger one 's 
me :do you work?
she :part time, my husband is a mechanic . 
.. me : you are happy? 
She :yes .. these kids are my world :-)

people who have no Kids or people who have many kids are ones stand out among us. 
I salute these moms who raise 11 kids in today's world and love to share their stories with me .

no I'm not inspired to have more kids ..

Beautiful Eyes

People .. blessed by God or good genes .. with beautiful eyes .. not everyone can get that special look and exterior unless God willing..

rest .. I always believe .. its you fate and destiny with hard work thats important not just looks ..cause nothing works when it gets in competitive world of fashion or work or even academic background ..

sometimes best dont get that opportunity where as an  average swings ahead ..

after effects

 The after effects of diwali with demonetization of indian ruppee created imbalance among people hue and cry could be heard from far..  where ever Indians exist.. around the globe... 
I check my wallet .. last indian visit left me with rs13000  .. tried to exchange at chase bank but seems like its pASs the due date ..
lots of contradictory statements are showing up.. lots of videos shared .. its like hard earned money going to drain .. BUT no its not
my last visit to india in march was quite an eye opener .. where poor is poor has no food and rich has no end.. God made us all humans but wealth is unequally distributed ..
From Delhi airport people look for tips .. staring at you.. every person demands money my question to indian people is .. bribe tips are extra money earned .. not hard earned money.. 
 WHITE .. (money)has no stains .. so why cry.. change is inevitable why not accept and see the results.. its not with you as a single person its with everyone ...
.. lots of inflation I could see in india .. lots of bizarre stuff .. my visit after 8 years left me speechless ....I being an indian love india .. felt very bad  people have no value for money .. everything is over priced .. human life has no value .. but money makes a difference .. 
little kids on curb side beg for food but BMW owners passing by give a shit .. they can actually crush them under their car.. 
the scene is horrific ... 
Delhi airport flooded with people ..washrooms .. neat n clean ,, (good to see that )women staring for tips .. I told her excuse me and left the door .. why would i pay you for peeing here ..

Good books..

..
I am sometimes surprised by lack of maturity or wisdom when I see people deliberately trying to make a fool of themselves.. 
fool for what? you might be wondering... 
In today's world everything is materialistic .. or something I would say status symbol.. people brag for every other thing.. money ,looks or contacts ,,
But did you ever think .. what are we trying to prove?? whose good books we wanna be? 
among rich people? among status symbols? .. 
spending Five crores on wedding .. for showing how rich we are? or trying to be in the elite upper class society??
customizing every other need for guests as per their status .. for what?? to be in their good books and make money from business contacts??
Somewhere I feel .. you are a lost soul.. lost in this materialistic world.. why be in good books of rich people ..why not be in good books of GOD//

how to be in his good books? 
.. Help help and help .. 
get blessings from everywhere ,, we need more of those ... not only for this life but for next too..
KARMA will come back.. show up your worth .. try to deal with down trodden .. being anonymous,, millions of kids sleep without food give them food or arrange some help.. there is no water ..people walk for miles to get drops of water.. quench their thrust  .. see how blessed you will be..
that happiness on kids face will be worth million smiles... or that old lady blessing you with smile when you help her out from debt or poverty,, is priceless .. it will cure thousands of your wounds.. inside .. calm yoiu down..which cannot be healed with money ..
being in his good books are more important then these .. greedy evil people ..who will eat dance and abuse you when they reach home.. 

Good books of almighty is right route to humanity .. service to humanity .. service to GOD ..
its easy simple doesn't take lot of money ... but you need BIG HEART .. little bit every day in any kind.. trust me .. you will blessed for life..
try to be simple in deeds nothing calculative .. YET very strong in service to GOD.. 
my whole idea of writing this article is .. save your money for blessings and not partying .. 
we wanna be in his goodbooks..thats where real worth will be seen ..today or next life..

..what happened in pairs is yet to be digested ,, what happened in USA is never forgotten ..what happened in India is still bleeding ..what happened in Syria people are still crying  ..
I m really surprised who is breeding all this ??
we cannot say its a religion or community or country..
everyone ..every religion every race has lost their life.. 
its evil minds n thoughts or I can say need for food or money .. its always said .. "please don't breed if you cant feed"
I mean its getting worse day by day ..every now n then you hear a blast hundreds of people killed
fear sits in everyone's heart .. bad to ugly n then ugly to worse .. n nothing can be done .. 
you killed ours we will kill yours .. innocent people are also killed..
many widows , many orphans .. God please .. we need your help .. please .. come n see why demons are more then humans .. we need help !! 
Best creation of God is human .. every religion say that.. did he make us like this? 
what exactly are they fighting for? religion? which religion is supreme ? money? revenge? 
let me jus give you my thought .. its always taught .. best part of humanity is providing a helping hand .. being courteous helping down trodden .... to make your life a blessing. 
Messengers of GOd always taught humanity ..every holy book says same .. ideology is same ..
but that hatred .. that killing is different .. its a nexus made .. made by evil , demons who want to rule the world.. 
people please who can see all this ,, raise your kids very well spend time on them  keep a reality check.. strong nations n humans are built on strong foundations.. 
and also every religion should take up preaching own community their effects n after effects of this evil stuff..to avoid further damage .. show them what holy book says also post stuff on internet which shows where we are wrong in religion in guidance as per our thoughts its an awareness an enlightenment ..to all share bring some light .. 
every little step will bring success n stop this bloodshed

being naked!

Every moment of life we learn..
learning never stops .. 
but some times real life instances make you wonder ..where is the limit?? some people surpass every limit..
I workout everyday an hour in Gym .. ..The women s lockers are like right in front as you enter there are lockers n then powder room n showers n then washrooms..
many a times I see girls removing their tanks an going to gym in sports bra which is very well covered ..and looks decent ,,,I generally see all ages .. starting from 23 yrs to 78 yrs.. in which maximum percentage consists of senior citizens .. 
Friday is busy day at gym no parking n lot is full ..kicks my butt moving from one end to another.
I went inside checked inn its 24/7 and headed straight to locker room as I entered I was numb .. a fully naked women sitting n moisturizing herself .. I was like really? I thought no its not ,, I turned n saw her back again to be sure  ..  .. I wasn't  dizzy .. she was naked .. n ladies inside were jus changing and moving totally ignorant of the fact she is naked. 
I had heard many stories in past too people move naked in locker rooms or in showers at pool vicinity too ..cuz its a culture n there is no hesitation .. but being an Indian its not our culture I was little embarrassed .. cuz it never happened n person like me who gets scared even in dreams if I see myself naked ..here a women so confident ly moving around with no clothes.
..last year during our bridal show I went  back to get the outfit from one of our models I was amazed to see girls getting half naked ,, in changing room ,, I was oh! but seems like its a culture shock for me .. cuz we have grown up in conservative  society .. liberal in thoughts but conservative dressing..
When we see people at this extent then we realize where exactly we are...in which world we are living in and how liberal people are in thoughts,body n mind .. I was not only surprised by her nakedness but also people who were totally ignoring her and moving back n forth ..
Life is full of surprises .. n sometimes we learn .. learn wht??
learn to accept , learn to respect n learn to keep your eyes ahead :) instead of staring ..
.. usually we as Indians stare at each other a lot in western world to make sure its indian or Mexican !

I usually say under my breath if someone stares at me,its ok fine I m an Indian no doubts now.

life moves on...

.. ..its very strange when people say .".O time flies".. or "hey it looks like it jus happened yesterday"
I would say ,, what if time doesn't move ? what if everything comes to standstill ? do you think we make wonders and complete pending work or do something extra-ordinary..
wht if we had 48  hours instead 24 hours ? what if we had an extra Sunday before Monday an 8th day in a week .. life would come to a full circle?
Its strange when you hear something unusual ,..I being a very optimistic person and full of life hate resentments ..would love as it going would like to spice it up though ;) but why say like that O it happened so fast ,, I couldn't register ..I would say ,, Babes it was a splendid moment and you enjoyed ..so it went fast ..if it was hell you would have said ..Common I need to get out of this hell.
.. Like a honeymoon phase enjoy..
one of my friends got married .. the bride and groom never showed any picture to public .. jus a hazy kiss of both .. or may be holding hands .. one can guess whats going on .. but later if this couple says O it went to fast ..  then? I would say guys ..enjoy life its in your hand make it happy and better place to live ..and make others happy too
I went to California for vacation ,,it went smoothly.. I came back n people were like did you like it? did you see the weather ?..even better then India.. so much sunshine,,I m like .. really .. " something back of mind reminded me our CM Badal (punjab) promised Punjab would be like California .. I m like good at least you have raised the bars high..Mr CM .. 
getting back to un-usual .. tag lines .. I don't understand people.. like I wish we had more Christmas holidays .. I m like dude.. "you are in US .. thanks to Santa for this gift .. some countries have none " 

talking of unusual tag lines .. life move still goes on against odds. Sometimes I feel we obstruct  in between God and his plans,, he has made this for a reason.. thou reasons have to be de-coded with time ..like you enjoy DATES ..n at the same time we have BITTER GOURD ,, but we cook  bitter gourd it in such a way it becomes a delicacy .. a sumptuous food
handle the situation ,, everything will taste sweet .. life will be beautiful..

Poinsettias..

..Ever since I came to US I m in love with this plant .. the leaves itself are like cluster of flowers ..they speak for them self .. such vibrant beautiful colors hard to take your eyes off .. I was in Grocery store other day I felt like ..are they artificial? touching and getting a feel of texture ..the sparkles spread on them makes them even more prettier .. no doubt they stand for Christmas celebrations and invite everyone towards themselves.
Unaware of this plant.... to me its an Exotic one.. but rare ,pleasure to my eyes. Any color you pick its u unique..
My favorite one is RED ../burgundy but pumpkin orange is something I love too.
Purple was one I fell my eyes on and thought look at the richness .. seems like color pallet in front of me ..I touched the leaves again ,, the girl at grocery store looked at me and smiled .. "may I help you"
I said "oh no no I m jus trying to select the color .. thanks "
Am I paranoid ..what the heck am I doin.. looks awful.. quietly picked up the flowers I liked and went to ring them up..

..I m bundled up every morning ..my day starts at 5 am .. hit the road at 6:30 but before that  wear my boots , hat , gloves , scarf , leg warmer , jacket ..then looking at the mirror I feel I m all set to go for war..
Living in Michigan is like living in north pole ..its scary , dark and very very Cold.. my winter blues started this yr soon ..pray to babaji (my lord) this yr should not be like last yr 2013 where we were stuck in our houses life disrupted .. schools closed .. once in a while its ok but repetition make its worse.. its scary!!
..I have given a kick start to winters this yr by supporting it with my pink cap.,.

... I never understood the black and white logic..

Recently .. a picture posted by one of the relatives where Guy in white hair n beard and women in jet black..I thought of daughter and father but was very soon corrected by my mom as husband and wife..
I m like really??
where guy going so cool and girl looks HoT!!
well no answers ..personal choice I guess..
Then on other day JUHI chawla posted her pictures with hubby ,,,I thought some UNCLE then re-collected oh its Jai her husband.. But gurl why do you want to be Chick and  he should be a monk ..
No match  .. I am confused ..
.. We marry we respect why not age together .. gracefully..

I was very young that time may be 15 yrs  ..someone came to meet my DAD .. and looked perfect with his dyed hair , smile and beaming confidence and then I saw an old lady at the back slowly walking ..I said "uncle your mom also came?" I went outside to greet the old lady ..
This uncle was so embarrassed I heard him saying several times to dad that he has to stop dyeing or his wife should start coloring there should be no confusion .. I m like why say here it should have been done earlier..
After he went Dad called me and asked ..why are you so blunt ..?? I was like I said wht I felt .. and sorry for behavior in future would ask you its wife or mother ? before making a comment.. ;-)

.. so Guys and Gals if you have greys showing up move with confidence ..and tell your partner the same .. if one doesn't agree other should start dyeing .,, so that you look like a couple and not like father and daughter.

Michigan fall..paradise on earth..

..Every morning I praise the creator..I drive down the street the whole street seems to be welcoming me like with open arms .. I like to embrace each and every tree ..see the colors .. check the texture .. is it real?
how come there are two shades of color in one tree .. like half in one color half in another same hues but 3D effect..
My mom was with me .. mesmerized by the beauty .. and was simply amazed as she had never seen in India all her life even at hill stations n best of tourist spots wht picturesque it is .. ...  My own house among the trees and in different blend of colors looked very illuminating with first ray of SUNlight ..
