..What For?...

I was going through a video on you tube about the Indians who come here in USA,UK or Canada and work as bonded labour being exploited by our own people(Indians) making them work on construction sites and paying them less as per requirement...

...this footage was taken by someone in UK and broadcasting on you tube where bunch of Indian Punjabi guys are standing at four am and a truck comes and picks them up with an hourly rate of seven to eight pounds or may be ten pounds per hour,preference is given to only those who work at less hourly rate and then they are all bundled up like a stack of vegetables and pushed into a truck and taken to the site...the guy in the video was sounding very sad ,where he compares himself to labour who comes from Bihar to Punjab and works for them in their village ...his clothes and way of living where like seven to eight people living together in an apartment and sleeping on the floor is ..pathetic...

His fellow workers has a same story ...saying parents back home want to show money to people or in neighbor hood that their son is working good and sending pounds ...now they can afford a big house and some luxury cars...its a peer pressure...

I have a question here for these footage's and these kind of people...

Education is MUST..its India or anywhere in the world to be successful and worldly wise..

what for?? they come to abroad selling lands back home ..burning hard earned money of parents and coming in an illegal way?

one cannot expect jobs in corporate without being professional ,its only odd jobs for these kind of people...life is very tough for people living in these countries if you don't know to speak English or one is not a professional like engineer or doctor ..or any other field, simple graduates or post graduates are considered dumb people...

There are very few people in a different slot when they improve their degrees and start studying again by taking admissions ,studying part time and then getting a better job ....which makes sense...

The new trend in Punjab villages where guys either want to be singers ..getting their album made or going to foreign land is only the carrier opportunity for them ,they sell their lands and invest money in a hope of being a millionaire, not knowing that there is no shortcut to success...

All shittiest Punjabi songs now one can watch on videos with no lyrics and absolutely weird voices...gurls being exploited wearing practically nothing and dancing depicting Punjabi VIRSA..

...fuel in fire is Miss pooja ..a punjabi female singer who has no shame in singing all cheap songs with other singer ..and no lyrics...and absolutely no family back ground..looks like she is disowned by the family..yesterday..my three year old son was listening to one of the punjabi songs and hiding behind the door saying "I am scared"I asked ...for what? he said.. look... he sounds like a monster,the singer had a weird vocal ... no wonder" BESUURE log "will be seen in videos more often...now
.coming back to what for ? these people come to foriegn countries,the same work can be done in India too...but the peer pressure starts back home which pulls them to foreign countries.
We have lot of successful indians in US living among us...the key is,
Education.. at a professional level.
communication is MUST to respond to people
legal visas and status so that you are not exploited.
There are many Indians who have made their names in business from scratch but then its years of hard work and and dedication to do something good for the family back home and keep up the name of the country you come from rather then sulking and making videos and showing up on you tube and other places trying to get sympathy from others.....
Back home when parents say their kids to study or work they want to come to USA or any other foriegn land ready to sell even parents thinking its a ticket to heaven not knowing its very tough life..only survival of the fittest will be there.....its a shock for illegal immigrants to see them-self working like a labour for people once they had hired back home....
Its a reality not a fiction ...before you get a VISA ..think twice before leaving your country!!!

..pf Chang is one of my favorite ... Chinese restaurants .... a fine dinning ,most of the the people living in north America will be aware of this name......
It was..my b;day on 24th july...so we decided to have a dinner at this place...it was forty five minutes wait...usually the restaurant is crowded at weekends ,but then its known for its quality and name......After waiting for an hour almost ...we went inside ...I could see Indian crowd outside the restaurant....we as Indians generally like Chinese food as it blends with Indian tastes very well unless its an authentic Chinese food...
We ordered for some appetizers like crispy green beans with a dip...and some lettuce wraps...which is awesome..usually their dishes run between 10 to 15 dollars....with single order....but its worth the price and quantity...
the main course ...we usually end up ordering more food ..and leaving the rest on the table as no one is interested to eat or get it packed ...but this time it was perfect and after waiting for an hour I guess we were hungry.....but the style ,ambiance and service is perfect...compared to most of the other Chinese restaurants here.....

I am not a big fan of noodles or fried rice ...unless its a chopsuey with gravy ....their menu carries a dish named ...Singapore double pan fried noodles ...which is very close to Indian style Chinese chopsuey and their Dali chicken ..which tastes more like mango pickle with chicken pieces...and some mandarin chicken are the few dishes which is par excellence... if you r a sea food lover like me...then Mahi Mahi whole broiled fish is excellent....with some fresh cut salads....
I have a sweet tooth ..so I generally try desert at every restaurant specially their pies and cakes...but this time I skipped that part coz my b;day ice cream strawberry short cake was waiting at home ..so I had to eat that too ..keeping calories in mind and how much hard work I have to put in gym scares me now seeing all the sugary stuff ...
..Every year I celebrate my birthday ...but then I think...it good way to remember our age and achievements too...it more of a family affair on my b;day ,to me with age one gains wisdom from past experiences and learns but there are many people who think the other way round..other best thing of celebrating birthdays is one gets an opportunity to cut the cake :) ...(kidding) no the best thing is you can have a family dinner in a restaurant and explore new place....which I really like to do...hmmm what else...gifts too..... ..but I like flowers so I am basically happy with jus fresh cut ...roses...not very expensive thing!!
Overall I like to celebrate every small occasion or an achievement in life!

pissed off!!

I was goin for work today....already late from home ..I rushed and took my way....my office is just ten minutes away from my house as I stopped on the red light a biker came and stood right next to my car ...before I could go ahead I saw him driving fast ahead of me ...as I was already late I could not move ahead as he was slow ...may be intentionally he was doin....it was one way traffic..I had to move at the speed of thirty ....where as limit was forty ...I tried to move away in yellow lane ...but ...no use....he slowed down giving me hard time.....At last I pressed the accelerator and moved ahead ....but had to stop on red light ..he came and stood next to my car....putting his head down he looked inside my car...I cud see him smiling....yes IT was intentionally done by him....
I reached late...at my work.....
I mean gUYs...harassing ladies on the way for no reason.....I was so pissed off ....
bikers or two wheelers .... during rush hours shld stay away ..... at least if not...then harassing someone...for no reason ..shows ones upbringing and etiquette ....I am surprised....such ASSHOLES have time in the morning for all this work...or may be they have no work!!!

clothes &Comfort...

looking at the comfort I think...with summers and humidity all around..living in Michigan surrounded by lakes ....cool cotton clothes provide comfort......I usually keep comfort in mind when buying something for myself......

Summers with heat wave going up and humidity..cool colors provide extra relief and keeps us breezy!!!I usually prefer light colors during summers.....though indoor it hardly matters since the areas all over are centrally air conditioned!

White dress shirts are my favorites at work with dress pants..it gives a clean look and at the same time keeps me comfortable ,though white is hard to maintain....

Parties in summers outside ....specially barbecues are painful.....its hot with grill it gets even hotter...it advised to keep casual...with cotton dress (if u wear) or shorts or Capri or leggings...with cool tops for air to flow....usually its a preconceived notion that barbecues are casual parties....as it always in lawns...or near the beach!

Formal dressing to me is very uncomfortable ...I always end up tired and coming home as soon as possible....usually we have dress codes for formal parties......Indian dress are fine with me But Saris I give up after some time ...though its very graceful dress.....I personally like it but cannot carry for long time.....I guess it needs practice and more patience!!!!

.....Colors to me for evening wears for indoor gatherings...black and red is my favorite.....Red..I have a closet full....every kind of red..... but good ones only:)....they stand out in gatherings...

black is always welcome but skin color has to be light ....one needs an attitude to carry the dress and colors!!!

For Men....I would say more solid colors subtle and button down shirts with dress pants for formal gatherings or parties ....or tees for outdoor .....but definitely NOT PINK. :)

Its all personal choice and depends on confidence level too to carry the outfit...one has to be courteous in gestures too.....to carry anything.

With summer and parties....its wise to keep comfort level in mind before getting formally dressed!!!

Kites!

Last night I was watching Kites....LasVegas .....and all big themes captured ...casinos ,night life ,bars and dances.....

I have been to Vegas twice but still I wish to go every year...Man best creation on earth ...excellent architectural facts and detailing....

looking at Kites I thought WOw ..look at the junior Roshan..all six pac and there came Barbara Mori with zero size ..great...but then what? it started dragging...with lot of spanish....how will people understand this part... I thought..English sub-titles....is it made for overseas..with the smooches and intimate scenes.....after it was a car chase.....seems like there was some confusion as to who is following whom.... The Spanish girl to me appeared very fake...Kangana Ranaut the Indian female....was still better ..with her looks and acting...

the story written is close to reality how girls ,marry for green cards crossing Mexico border and some of them are even sold...which is not shown...But there is lot of confusions with the flash back and present going parallel...in the script.

The script is not very tight..all haunting music made me sick...like sitting in the jungle ....I was in-fact irritated as to what the roshans want to show ultimately....

At last it was finished..HUH..I was happy...what piece of crap..was this....??

seriously I didn't like the movie...it was midnight...wasted so much time ...for all this ...

or may be I am not use to watching movies....my patience has given up...

I walked out ...of the room,..my hubby said wait ..this one is good...."Badmash Company"..I asked what?? he repeated the name...

Weird.......name of the movie...

4th JULY

United States is truly a diverse nation made up of dynamic people. Each year on July 4, Americans celebrate that freedom and independence with barbecues, picnics, and family gatherings. ...Raising high the star spangled banner ...representing the fifty stars as Fifty states!!

Land of dreams....as US is termed as....people from various countries come here to chase their dreams.....some get in abundance ..other leave without a penny and go back home....Its all destined...efforts have to be made by us.....

....It was a long weekend....WE had barbecue party at my aunts place... her son came from Virginia ...it was basically a family get together...

Very warm outside I thought what fun it will be sitting in the lawn eating barbecue ...chicken and stuff!!!

its half an hr drive from my home to my aunts house.......

Micky my hubby s cousin... and his wife ... opened a bottle of champagne to celebrate the day...one of our relatives had come from Canada to celebrate with us...Gunni...half of the crowd had a defence background..so...major discussion was Indian Armed forces or Indian politics....I thought why men always discuss these topics only....I asked my uncle to go for better discussion ...something more interesting .... ...then they started with recession America is facing ..and how Obama is going to come out of this net!! I smiled...

Mitu mickeys wife...laughed at my comment I made on men discussing ..American politics now.....

its was dark ..and we decided to have a blast with some crackers... which was fun to watch in the backyard with tikki lights across the lawn... I felt like Indian movies jungles and Mashall(lamps) ad mist of everything jus like a gang of villains celebrating the loot... I expressed my thought in words ..exactly SHOLAY(movie) sequence......

I looked at my hubby he was near the bar...I guess I have to drive today looking at ur drinking skills...... I said....

he laughed.... my sense of driving gets better and I am more conscious ..when I drive after few shots ....

SURE..I guess,all men say that!!!

any ways It was fun..came home at 2 am..and next morning ...Monday ...I enjoyed..at home .....

ITS always fun with long weekends!!
