My Birthday 24th july

 (technically this post was supposed to published on my birthday on 24th July 2011...But so much chaos at home ,I had to go out for a party which was a surprise to me and I came to know later ..when cake was brought.. I tried my best to publish this post on that day and throw inn some of my thoughts and get some good wishes back in return BUT it was like NO way....)
 my little one asking things one after another ,hubby on hunting mission :) looking for some lost rechargeable batteries ..and so on and so forth....

what I wrote....on my b;day
...its my birthday today....another year down.....
when I look back its like an era I covered with lot of hopes and aspirations for future..
Our birthdays are a validation of identity and existence.  Directly or indirectly, we evaluate ourselves against our life plan.  How many times have you said to yourself, “At this age I will be married” or “at this age I will be ready for retirement”.  Birthdays make us think, who are we? and where am I in my life?
 Birthday marks an age and success in life not to forget the number of failures and what we have been through in past years.
I am a person who never plans ahead but goes by his wishes(almighty)whatever I am or have achieved its due to my strong determination "I like this and I want it"
my decisions are very fast ,its very rare when I left undecided.Most of my decisions have been good and never repented on anything.
I remember at times I have been in  a very difficult situation (at work)...not knowing what to do now...no help and not knowing anyone...But there have been miracles :) unexpected help or strangers came inn,or an unexpected call ....

On Birthdays,the most valuable gift you could ever give is acknowledgement of their importance in your own life. To call someone "your love" is an honour that they have earned over the years by always being there for you, through good times and bad, regardless of the situation. The simple things in life are often the best, so consider a gift that conveys how much you value their love for them.

One of my online friends has sent me this lovely cake decorated with my name ...it is such a sweet gesture from him ,he is a fashion photographer and very humble person...probably one of the oldest friends in my social networking list ...
...I acknowledge this publicly as he reads my blogs too and this will definitely make him smile.

Humor :)

I usually end up in splits of laughter at very small things...A sarcastic remark or something hilarious .Humor I find in small little things...at times I couldn't stop laughing,there are many incidents where I left places... 'cause It was hilarious and hard to handle....Moms hard stares still haunts me ,BUT I am better now.
My hubbys nature of sarcastic remarks still makes me laugh
ME"Honey did you lock the door properly and put alarm system..."
Him.."Nope why would I do that?I want burglars to come inn and take our valuable stuff specially the jewelry set you brought last week ...its will be a good loot for them"
I end up saying Soooo funny....
...Living in US I Do come across many Desi's who end up using all wrong English and slang...in grocery store, Gurudwara , park.I end up laughing...loudly...all wrong English and so much confidence ...LOVE it!
Canada (Toronto) which has lot of Indian community it appears to be "little India"..places like Brampton, Markham ,Malton, Mississauga has lot of Punjabi community ,they have stores have punjabi font as store names,its kinda amazing....I love Toronto!! it has that flavour of Desi stuff..I like.
 All good Indian cuisines and street food available...Vegetarian to non -vegetarian.
Stylish Desi Aunties  driving BMW or Merc with big  hoops or jhumkhas ..its kinda hilarious at times.
There are many joke's made on Desis's(indians) .
 I came across a Video  of Brown (skin) family and their life style in Toronto ..couldn't stop laughing ..its very hilarious and very close to reality...

The V factor...

....you guys must be surprised what a V factor is?? 
I was at work and happened to meet a client ,I was discussing some patterns and designs of our top notch designers, this was a a boy and a girl may be in twenties..I couldn't guess their nationalities ..
I left them to decide about their needs and requirements before going ahead...
As I came back , a co-worker came to me and said "could you tell them to come out ,they are getting intimate and its kinda weird..."
I went back and told them to come out as I have other appointments to handle...before I take our next client...

looking at the girl I could see they could not take their eyes off each other...any-ways this is not the first time I saw this...I am not even surprised ,that's what is very common  and their is no hesitancy is smooching or getting  intimate in public places.
Virginity is the V factor which is missing .. times have changed and so are the needs ..its like do whatever you like and leave it like a used napkin in trash if he/she doesn't suit your needs...
I remember talking to one of the girls when she said "I don't wanna be a joke among my friends if I don't have a companion or boyfriend" I am a complete person and very much smart " I said" is it? do they make fun?? "she said "the life style is different ,I go with group of friends and when they see me alone they ask"nobody approached you yet? sad!"you are pretty looking girl  ...
...dating doesn't stop at platonic relationships it gets physical at one stage and then no looking back ,no hesitancy in getting into physical relationships...
most of the time parents know about their kids and their relationships ...But the irony  is ...they have no say "in pursuit of happiness"you cant stop the kid..unless the kid has no stable relationships in past and has hundred percent chances of getting sick in body and mind!
Is virginity important? to me yes! but when I hear people saying  "does it matter in past what happened?"its present and qualities and traits of a good human are more important"I cant digest this statement sometime and end up leaving the discussion ...where are ethics and morals??
I was listening to a Debate on dating among Indian's in US ...and most of the teenagers had similar views that  its important and YES physical relationships does exist and its no big deal...the ultimate thing is the trust ,faith and love among each other..AT PRESENT.
I grew up in India and to me and my Indian culture they would never permit any dating or relationship before marriage  ...
But when I see here parents and even kids( I am talking about Indians) saying all this..its kinda surprise  me...as per these statements.
(I would not name the person)
"Itz no big deal for me to get married to a guy whoz not a virgin.....
This is 2011 and as we all know dat no one in this time is maintaining his virginity...I mean few might being doing dat but almost all are well experienced before marriage.....and there is nothing wrong in it."


No wonder we see single moms ,divorces , broken homes and intimacy at public places ...and  virgins no more.

to much knowledge to the kids is also sometimes bad before knowing the actual facts or how the system works...

specially if the kid has an inquisitive mind and keeps asking questions ....he registers each and every details and its in his memory chip before he takes it out at appropriate  situation...it can actually be a source of an embarrassment for parents and others standing there.

my little one is falls in this category and I avoid giving him any extra knowledge unless required ...

Parenting skills also goes with helping kids understanding the matter equivalent to their age rather then unnecessarily burdening them ....

now this was registered in his memory chip long time back...

We were at the gathering ,I was standing next to an old man in late seventies ,he had a big tummy...my little one came from nowhere and pushing his tummy he said"uncle Baby here?"

that old man kept quite as if he didn't hear and Before I could get more embarrassed I picked him up and took him out...

I didn't know what to tell or explain my little boy....and tried to get that thing out of his mind.

kids are innocent But sometimes a big embarrassment in-front of others!

...when I first heard this song I couldn't understand the lyrics very well  ...But some of the words in English  were very astounding and made see the song on you-tube to know exactly what it said and meant.
This song is still very popular and brings people on dance floor with its beat and lyrics....
Babbu Mann one of the versatile Punjabi singers has done a complete justice to the song..
The singer says,
....I took a great care of this bird (girl)and one day it flew ...from his shade with somebody else...so called NRI...
... she seems to be flying high these days as this beautiful flower is now owned by someone else  from  foreign land ..and I am left here counting those flower beds.

 ...I was always guarding my fields but somebody else took the oppoortunity...
people came (businessmen) from London and took her from me ,I don't understand the craze for this foreign land that all unmarried girls in punjab are crazy .
....I remember I was crazy about her style of walking but nowdays ..she is more westernized by piecing her belly..and so on...

you forgot my old wooden cart and now riding a stretch limousine ,you forgot the days when we sat under a tree and how you opened a window whenever I happen to pass by your house...

all past memories are rebounded when this girl happens to go her village with her hubby and unfortunately stranded in the middle of the road  due to mecanical problem in the car and this past Boyfriend happens to help them to pull the car with rope through his tractor and help them reach home....

....When God made men and were sent to earth,all living things were surprised as to what an awesome creation, But God said"wait this is jus the draft..Master piece is yet to come,and then came women ...which was mind blowing :) to all .

Edible Arrangements.

It was one of those lazy afternoons ,I was taking a nap....feeling so relaxed that its a long weekend and lots of sleep to catch,suddenly I heard kids running downstairs...and I heard the door bell....

My son came and told me "there is somebody at the door"...

I came down and Saw Cathy with her husband  holding an edible Arrangement with a smile ...

Hey ..Sorry to barge inn ....Kathy said

,I know you were taking a nap...

(pulling my hair back)I said...no problem

they handed me a beautiful Edible arrangement with  a thank you card... and said"it was a great help from you to help us during our Vacation.

* Kathy went to Israel for fifteen days with her mom -in law(they r Jews),so with her husband and kids at home she told me take care of her son Marc in the morning when her husband left for work ,to make sure he gets into school bus with my son  and comes back safely...

....

this was a very sweet gesture from her to bring this basket which was unique ,I had read about edible arrangements from fresh fruits and lovely colors...

The best part about these arrangements are all the fruits are sweet (make be they check before putting them together)and so fresh in every way.They are edible and don't go in trash like flower arrangements...its a gift for all!

She had also baked a Cake at home which she had given me earlier ,which was yum...

I never expected so many treats in return for such a small help...I did tell her this and she laughed ....

I took some pictures on my kitchen counter as this was a different gift of all kinds I received in past.Beautiful ,edible ,liked by all and sooooooooo healthy can never go waste,its cut -up and cleaned very well with all seasonal fruits .

we were together ,the music started immediately once he inserted the keys,,,,
I said"I hate this Sheila and Munni"songs... Nonsense of all kind.....
he laughed  and said ..it in the Cd I got ..But let me tell you this song is something wonderful and you will like  so much ....
I heard it for the first time...it was melodious ...
the lyrics and vocal absolutely wonderful....I am going to share this with my blogger friends what I heard in my hubby s car...
