..I was recently going through a Blog ....it had immense fan following though the blog was kinda okay I found...I went to the Archive to check the posts ....to see the writings and to know what makes so many people read this blog....
I didn't find any thing interesting ... but the comments were more then eighty ....or so...
I was in a dilemma...
1)Should I write a comment ...it will be lost in this sea of Comments...
2)The blog owner doesn't respond to anyone so there is no value of our comment I guess...
"I Give a Damn"attitude was seen!!!
...My question is...why do we forget general courtesy? or is it an general habit of human kind to follow blindly if one is blind....or open a Blind Hospital like this BLOG.
Please give your opinion on this!

hmmm i understand what you say .. but i dont care if someone responds to my comment if i like something i comment .. its there problem if they are going to have that attitude but i will maybe not visit them again.
and the followers which are shown I dont beleive in that , for people sometimes jsut follow thinking you will follow them back.. I dont do that, I follow people who visit me regularly and who are good critics and ACTUALLY read what I write...
I also got so many followers but some of them hardly visit , so why follow if you dont read what i write or comment on it whatever it is right or wrong ...
the blogs I follow I visit them regularly cause i like them and i like reading what they write ..
dont go by the number of comments harman, cause if you see sometimes the comments are jsut one words , which again is a ploy to get people to come to you blog ..
anyway dont worry and dont let this upset you...
content matters, not the list of followers..
comments are always encouraging, gives a reader's perspective.. but its difficult to please everyone..
each blogger has his/her own unique style and must not change it..
I have also seen people like this!!
But really I dont mind if someone replies me or not.
I will only mind if I post a question kind of in that post!
And no of followers and no of comments just for self satisfaction may be!! it doesnt matter but it shouldn't disturb us!
Guess its a blog a beautiful girl I know , then all the boys will comment something to gain her attention and she need not reply as well ;)
There are two or three categories to this.
One is that of famous people's Blog (like Amitabh Bachan Blog or Aamir Khan blog)
Here the response is tremendous and the actors don't have the time to reply to each one (sometimes I wonder if they themselves read it or a PA does it)
The second category is that of the nose in the air type "I am above all this to reply to these petty people"
They will slowly loose their readership in due course.
Then there are some who write really good and informative stuff, but the comments they get is so few. (I wonder why)
Like for example Mumbai Magic by Deepa Krishnan (http://mumbai-magic.blogspot.com/)
There is also a wide gap between the "followers" and the actual readers. Every follower does not necessarily read all the posts that is posted.
One more thing that I observed is that every reader reads only the latest post that is posted.
Comment does not matter for me.
Comment is the second thing whenever i post comment on anyone's blog i never expect reply from the blog owner i just do comment on the topic i like.

Really Comment doesn't matter to me. Even sometimes I won't watch whether I got a reply or not. But I will post what I feel at that moment for that post. That's it!!
But, you are correct! sometimes when we commented as a question kind of something, sure we will wait for a reply. May be he/she doesn't like your question OR he/she don't want to give you the answer for that question. I guess you faced this kind of person!

@Haddock...Yes..there is lot of Gap between followers and actual readers I agree ....not many read that they follow..I wonder why?

I have been blogging for months now and I still could not figure out what works in blogging. I have seen some blogs with loads of comments but the contents were pretty average. On the other hand, I have seen superb blog loaded with information but with zero comments.
Personally I love to get comments. If nothing else, I would like to see 'yes I visited'
Also I leave a trace if I like a post or there something worthwhile for me to say.
